Create New Virtual Machine
Windows Server for Qlik Sense Admins
Overview
In the last three guides, you've prepared your PC/server to run virtual machines by enabling Hyper-V, configured a virtual switch, and downloading Windows Server installation file. You now have all you need to create your first virtual machine.
In this lesson we will go through the process of creating a new virtual machine that will be the Domain Controller in your lab environment.

Summary
All Set!
You have a virtual machine built and ready to rock! Keep in mind, at this stage, the VM is just an empty container. It's kind of like a computer that doesn't have an operating system installed on it - it's just a collection of hardware. Next step is to boot it up and get Windows Server 2022 installed on it to get it working and be fully functional.
Installation of Windows Server 2022 OS is covered in the next lesson. I'll see you there!
